Job Title: Pharmacist / Pharmacy Technician

Banding: Band 7/8a

Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire

Start: ASAP

Duration: 4 months

Rate: £28 – £37 per hour

Working hours: Full time, 08:30 am – 17:30 pm

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 7 or Band 8a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s team in Gloucester. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing exceptional pharmaceutical care and ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and control. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our clients’ patients and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our pharmacy services.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and managing aseptic or radiopharmacy processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Conducting quality assurance and control activities, including documentation, audits, and risk assessments.
• Providing expert advice and support to the pharmacy team for the safe and effective use of medications.
• Training and mentoring junior staff.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Pharmacy or relevant qualification for Pharmacy Technician
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC)
• Extensive experience in aseptic or radiopharmacy processes
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance and control principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Experience in Pharmaceutical Section 10 Aseptic or Radiopharmacy Quality Assurance or Control
• Minimum of 3 years NHS experience (desirable)
