This role requires working effectively with people at all levels as part of a team to support the delivery of assessed care programmes; providing safe patient care in a dynamic clinical environment while adhering to Trust policies and procedures; communicating clearly with patients, including those with compromised ability to do so, and managing routine enquiries and occasional distressing situations; carrying out delegated tasks such as safety checks and routine observations following appropriate training;

and consistently delivering high standards of care while acting as a role model for nursing staff.

Additional contract details:
Working at both sites CGH and GRH. Additional working pattern details:
Need to be able to work 7 days a week, with shift pattern of 8-8 , and 11-11.

Responsibilities
  • Support medical and nursing staff by performing delegated clinical tasks, such as routine patient observations, ECGs, blood glucose monitoring, and daily safety checks on emergency equipment.
  • Assist with patient admissions, treatment, discharge documentation, and escorting patients to tests or other departments when required.
  • Deliver safe, effective care in a fast‑paced environment while demonstrating reliability, adaptability, teamwork, resilience, enthusiasm, and self‑awareness.
  • Act as an SDEC Technician: take routine clinical observations, promptly report abnormalities, manage patient flow, perform ECGs, urinalysis, blood glucose checks, assist with examinations or minor procedures, prepare clinical areas and equipment, assist with mobility, toileting, nutrition, and overall comfort, maintain infection control standards, and provide accurate documentation.
