NonStop Care is working with one of the most reputable charities in Gloucestershire to help them find a Locum Family support worker full-time who can tackle working in a community family support worker role.
You will need working knowledge of interventions to families, driving change in your work with parents. You would also need knowledge of what thresholds are or the legislation that underpins how we make decisions about, and take action on, risk to children.
The role involves holding a caseload of 12 families, and contributing to the development of a Family Hub approach across Stroud and Cotswolds in Gloucestershire.
Responsibilities of the Locum Family support worker:
This role sits within the Family Hub Offer, working as part of a team delivering high-quality frontline support using a whole-family approach. You'll be supporting families identified as needing targeted early help (universal level or Level
2), helping to improve outcomes across health, education, social and environmental needs.
It's a really hands-on role, contributing to an integrated early help and public health offer, making sure families receive timely and coordinated support.
Requirements of the Locum Family support worker:
Must be a driver and have access to own car
A relevant qualification in childcare, early years, youth work, social care, family support, health, community work (or equivalent experience)
Direct experience working with children, young people and/or families in community, home or education settings
Experience delivering group work or community-based activities
Experience supporting children's development (communication, emotional, physical and social)
Experience working in multi-agency settings and contributing to joint assessments or plans
Ideally with a DBS on the update service (Adults & Children's Barred List).
