An exciting opportunity has arisen for a phlebotomist to join our team.
We are looking to appoint a Phlebotomist who is clinically skilled with general blood taking and can work across our four sites.
Saturday morning working is required.

Wednesday 14th January 2026
The key elements of this role include:
- Taking,collecting and storing samples of blood in accordance with training and procedures.
- Chaperoning(training can be provided).
You will have undertaken phlebotomy training and have recent experience in blood taking. You will be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills, a positive attitude and commitment to General Practice and the NHS.
The role will be challenging and rewarding andwill provide the opportunity for advancement and development.
About usRosebank Health PCN, includes Rosebank Surgery, Severn vale Surgery, Barton gate Surgery and Kingsway Health Centre. The successful candidate will be required to work across all four sites.
We have recently become a PCN in our own right, which enables us to develop & shape the services we offer. The PCN is forward thinking and innovative, prioritising excellent patient care. The PCN has a friendly multidisciplinary team which includes: GP's, Nurses, Paramedics, Pharmacists, Physiotherapist, Care Home Co-ordinator & Social Prescribers.

Jobresponsibilities
- Ensuring that the patient is as comfortable and relaxed as possible and confirming their agreement to the collection of a blood sample
- Collection ofsample(s) s of blood in accordance with training and procedures
- Ensuring samples arestored in appropriate containers
- Accurate, legible labelling of all samples to confirm patient identity
- Checking patient identification against Doctor/Nurse request and confirming with patient whenever possible
- Recording collection of blood sample in patient record in accordance with Practice procedure
- Ensuring that samples are dispatched to the appropriate laboratories in a timely fashion.
- Ensuring that anomalies are reported to a senior member of staff
- Notifying the Doctor/Nurse of any significant patient issues
- Liaising with and assisting members of the administrative team

- In the course of seeking treatment,patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters. They do so in confidence and have theright to expect that staff will respect their privacy and act appropriately
