Join Gloucestershire Hospitals as an Advanced Paediatric Practitioner and play a pivotal role in delivering expert, compassionate care for children and young people across our Children’s Centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work at an advanced level across assessment, diagnosis, treatment and leadership within a dynamic acute paediatric service that includes a 24-hour assessment unit, inpatient beds, oncology shared care, high dependency care and paediatric day services.

You will work alongside experienced consultants, specialist nurses, resident doctors and multidisciplinary colleagues, using advanced clinical expertise to influence patient outcomes, shape service development, and support the future workforce. If you are a highly skilled practitioner who thrives in fast-paced environments, values teamwork, and is passionate about advancing paediatric practice, we would love to hear from you.

Applicants who do not yet meet the requirements for a qualified advanced practice are welcome to apply for consideration of a Trainee Advanced Paediatric Practitioner. The salary during training for this post will be band 7 (£48,387-£56,515). There is only one post available, and applicants from both those interested in a Trainee post and Qualified ACP will be interviewed on the same day.

You will contribute to the development of clinical pathways, governance processes and local standards, while also acting as an educator, supervisor and mentor for the wider team. A significant aspect of the role is influencing service improvement through audit, quality improvement and research activity, as well as supporting a culture of continuous learning, professional curiosity and compassionate leadership.
