Gloucester – Full time – Permanent.

Location:

Gloucester
Shift pattern: 45 hours (7am – 10pm)
Pay rate: £15.09 per hour

Applicants must be confident drivers and hold a full UK manual driving licence, as the role involves driving the people we support in their own vehicles.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to oversee one of our specialist services, supporting two males. The two individuals have a combination of needs, including autism, learning disabilities, epilepsy, and additional complex conditions. One individual is a male in his 60s with a severe learning disability, autism (ASD), OCD, and complex partial epilepsy. The second individual is a male in his 20s with a moderate learning disability, autism, intermittent heterotropia, and epilepsy.

Both require consistent, structured support tailored to their sensory, emotional, and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a key role in maintaining a calm, predictable environment and ensuring that support is delivered with dignity, consistency, and compassion.

As a Support Worker, you will: (i) follow all support plans and risk assessments carefully, (ii) support individuals with their daily activities and personal care where required, (iii) promote independence in a way that is respectful and person‑centred, (iv) help maintain a structured environment, (v) complete essential documentation accurately, (vi) ensure communication between team members is clear and consistent, and (vii) remain attentive and responsive, following safeguarding procedures and promoting dignity and respect.
