About the role
As the Registered Manager, you will lead the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive and effective service for residents in your care home, ensuring delivery of the highest care standards fully compliant with all CQC statutory regulations while achieving operational and quality assurance KPIs.
Key responsibilities- Ensure residents understand their care and treatment choices, promoting choice, dignity and individuality.
- Review and adapt care provision to meet residents’ physical and mental health needs in collaboration with residents, staff, health professionals, social workers, and other parties.
- Carry out audits to understand service quality and take prompt corrective action if concerns arise.
- Implement effective risk assessments safeguarding residents and overall safety of the home.
- Induct new staff and provide ongoing training, motivation, supervision and support to the existing team.
- Take disciplinary or formative action against team members when required.
- Staff the home to cover the needs of residents, maintaining contingency plans for unexpected absence.
- Investigate complaints related to safeguarding, abuse or service delivery and ensure notifications and duty of candour are sent to the appropriate parties.
- Minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
- Management qualification at QCF Level 4 or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.
- Previous registration in a residential service preferred.
- Demonstrable up‑to‑date knowledge of the care sector, including running a care home and regulatory framework.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Experience working with vulnerable client groups.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- £45,000 per year salary.
