Job overview

Provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care across a broad range of MSK presentations and sub‑specialties. Deliver evidence‑based treatment programmes and support personal development opportunities.

Main duties of the job

Assess, diagnose and implement treatment programmes for MSK outpatients.

Deliver therapeutic intervention using physiotherapy principles in an integrated and client‑centred way.

Support and supervise less experienced therapists, support workers and undergraduates where required.

Assume responsibility for personal development linked to appraisal.

Take on increasing responsibility for day‑to‑day management of the clinical area in the absence of senior staff.

Receive clinical and professional supervision through regular clinical reasoning sessions, observed practice, peer review and formal training.

Responsibilities and competencies

Provide evidence‑based physiotherapy assessment and treatment.
Apply practical problem‑solving approaches.
Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary team members.
Work flexibly in response to changing service demands.
Manage own workload and prioritise appropriately.

Qualifications and Training

Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy.
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Knowledge and Skills

Systems knowledge of major body systems (cardiorespiratory, neurology, MSK) and relevant experience influencing MSK presentation.
Valid full UK driving licence.

Clinical Experience

Experience working in the NHS in the UK.
Relevant experience of major body systems influencing MSK management.
