Working closely with the Registered Manager (and Area Support Manager in larger services), you will oversee commissioned hours of support, supervise staff teams, and ensure service delivery meets regulatory standards, company policies, and quality and financial KPIs.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your leadership and management skills and make a meaningful difference to the lives of the people we support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support and supervise Support Workers, including recruitment, training, supervision and appraisals.
  • Develop, implement and regularly review person-centred care and support plans.
  • Ensure high-quality, safe and effective service delivery that promotes independence and wellbeing.
  • Support compliance with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements, including CQC standards.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with individuals supported, families, advocates and external professionals.
  • Support risk management, safeguarding and incident reporting, acting promptly and appropriately.
  • Promote health and safety in line with legislation and organisational policies.
  • Contribute to quality assurance, audits, inspections and continuous service improvement.
  • Be responsive to crisis situations and service needs.
  • Work on rota, including occasional sleep‑in duties, and provide direct support as required to role‑model best practice.
  • Knowledge of supported living services for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Care Certificate and mandatory training in line with Skills for Care.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills (Office 365).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • QCF Level 4/5 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience within supported living or adult social care.
  • Experience or training in Positive Behaviour Support, Active Support, PBM, Makaton or BSL.
Additional Information
  • Flexibility required to meet service needs across a 7‑day rota.
  • Opportunity to accompany people we support on holidays in the UK and abroad.
  • No direct budget responsibility, but expected to support effective budget management.
