You will be supporting a male in his early 30s who has mental health needs and a diagnosed visual impairment. He requires ongoing support to maintain his wellbeing, develop confidence, and live as independently as possible. He benefits from a consistent routine, positive relationships, and a calm, supportive approach that promotes his emotional and mental wellbeing.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will take a lead role in delivering person-centred support, ensuring his environment is safe, accessible, and tailored to his individual needs. You will provide practical and emotional support, encourage independence, and work closely with colleagues and professionals to ensure high standards of care are maintained. Building a trusting relationship and communicating clearly and sensitively will be key to helping him achieve positive outcomes and live a fulfilling life.

We're looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker who is passionate about empowering people to live independently, achieve their goals, and enjoy a fulfilling life.
We're looking for someone who can:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, dignity, and wellbeing.
- Support an individual with mental health needs, providing reassurance, consistency, and encouragement to maintain their emotional wellbeing.
- Create and maintain a safe, accessible, and supportive environment, taking account of the individual's visual impairment.
- Lead by example, supporting and guiding colleagues while helping to ensure excellent standards of care are maintained.
- Complete accurate documentation, contribute to support planning, and follow risk management procedures.
- Administer medication safely and adhere to safeguarding procedures, organisational policies, and best practice standards.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with family members, healthcare professionals, and other external partners.
- Support the individual to access appointments, social activities, and opportunities within the community. As travel forms part of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential.
