Job Description & How to Apply Below

Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people? Renaissance Education is seeking a compassionate and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our growing Multidisciplinary Clinical Team within our specialist therapeutic schools. This is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential in a nurturing, child-centred environment.

Working closely with teachers, psychologists, speech and language therapists, families and external professionals, you'll provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and evidence-based interventions for children with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), sensory processing differences, developmental trauma, attachment needs and other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You'll develop personalised therapy programmes, contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), provide specialist advice and training to colleagues, and help embed therapeutic strategies throughout the school day to create environments where every child can thrive.

This is more than a clinical role, it's an opportunity to shape therapeutic practice across the school and be part of an integrated approach where education and therapy work hand in hand. You'll manage your own specialist caseload, contribute to multidisciplinary planning, support service development and work collaboratively to ensure occupational therapy is fully embedded within the curriculum and wider school community.

Every intervention you deliver will help pupils build confidence, independence and the skills they need to succeed both in school and beyond., Many of the children and young people who attend our specialist therapeutic schools have experienced significant adversity, trauma or complex life experiences. We understand that creating a culture of safety, trust and belonging is fundamental to helping them thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Our approach is rooted in kindness, compassion and a commitment to understanding the individual needs of every child. Working Together to Keep Children Safe Safeguarding is a shared responsibility. We work in close partnership with parents, carers, local authorities, health professionals and other agencies to ensure every child receives the care, support and protection they need. We believe that parents and carers are our most important partners.

By working together, sharing information appropriately and maintaining open, honest communication, we can provide children with the consistency, security and support they need to flourish. Supporting Families The challenges facing children and young people continue to evolve. From online safety and social media to mental health, exploitation, bullying and emotional wellbeing, families are navigating an increasingly complex world. Our safeguarding resources are designed to provide practical advice, trusted guidance and up-to-date information to help parents and carers understand potential risks and support their children safely.

We are committed to working alongside families, offering advice and signposting additional support whenever it is needed. If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child, or would like further advice, we encourage you to speak to a member of our safeguarding team. No concern is too small, and we are always here to listen and help.

Our Commitment At Renaissance Education, we are committed to:

  • Creating a culture where every child feels safe, respected, listened to and valued.
  • Promoting the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of every pupil.
