Artis HR is supporting an exciting, fast-growing brand based in Bristol with the appointment of a Head of HR.
This is a really varied senior HR role, with the opportunity to take ownership of the people function and play a key part in shaping the next stage of the business as it continues to grow.
You'll work closely with the senior management team, acting as a trusted people partner while also being a visible and approachable point of contact for employees across the business.
The role- Taking ownership of the HR and people function across the business
- Partnering with the CEO, founders and senior leadership team on people strategy
- Managing complex ER matters including performance, absence, capability, disciplinaries and grievances
- Coaching managers and helping them become more confident people leaders
- Leading recruitment, onboarding and the wider employee lifecycle
- Developing learning, development and career progression opportunities
- Building effective performance management and employee engagement approaches
- Using people data and employee feedback to identify priorities and opportunities
- Supporting workforce planning, organisational design and change
- Ensuring HR policies, processes and practices remain compliant and fit for purpose
- Bringing the right level of structure and governance as the business grows, without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
We're looking for an experienced senior HR professional who has ideally worked within a growing, founder-led or entrepreneurial business and is comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience at Head of HR, Head of People, Senior HR Manager, People Lead or senior HRBP level
- Strong generalist HR experience across ER, recruitment, performance, engagement and development
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law
- Experience independently managing complex ER cases
- A genuine track record of developing learning, progression and performance approaches
- Confidence working directly with founders, CEOs and senior leaders
- A practical, hands‑on approach and the ability to operate both strategically and operationally
- Strong commercial awareness alongside a genuine people-first mindset
- The confidence to bring structure and consistency while retaining the flexibility of a growing business
- Up to 70,000
- 3-4 days a week in the Bristol office
