Innovation Lab Technician

As an Innovation Lab Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the Lab's technology, equipment and services run smoothly while delivering excellent customer support. You will help members access equipment, deliver workshops and training sessions, support outreach activities and contribute to the development of new services and projects. This is a multi-site role, working across Innovation Lab locations and libraries throughout Gloucestershire.

You will collaborate with library colleagues, volunteers, partners and customers to create engaging experiences that build confidence, creativity and digital skills. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, problem-solving and helping people learn and innovate.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual with strong technical aptitude and a passion for innovation. You will have experience using and troubleshooting digital technology and be confident supporting a wide range of users, from complete beginners to experienced makers and business customers.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and the ability to balance customer support with technical responsibilities. A positive, flexible approach, willingness to learn new technologies and confidence delivering demonstrations, training or workshops are essential.
