Legal assistant

We currently a vacancy for a Legal Assistant to join the Children and Families Legal Team.

We are looking for a legal administrative person who may have had experience working within a local authority children's safeguarding team or in a solicitors' firm.

The major part of the role will be to prepare court bundles on our case management system.

The work that you will be carrying out will be pivotal in having a real impact on the service.

If this is something that resonates with you, you will have the opportunity to work with and support a number of Lawyers and Paralegals covering public law child care proceedings.

In return we would like you:

• To be organised, flexible, work well under pressure & enjoy a challenge;
• Assist our Team with time sensitive court matters (e.g. bundling)
• Assist with our invoicing process as well as opening files on our case management system.
• Arrange meetings, make telephone calls.
• Be a point of contact with our Service Area clients.
• Monitor our general inbox and allocate matters or queries to the relevant lawyers.
