The Role A rare senior opportunity to join a growing high quality planning practice within a respected boutique firm specialising in rural, development and land based work. You'll work alongside a highly regarded planning expert, taking the lead on a broad range of strategic planning matters.
This is a role with genuine autonomy, high value work and the chance to shape the future direction of the planning team.
You will:
Lead on strategic planning advice from site appraisal through to determination and appeal
Advise on s.106 agreements, highways matters and development frameworks
Handle contentious planning issues including judicial review and CPO work
Work closely with landowners, developers, farmers and rural businesses
Collaborate with land agents, consultants and valuers on major schemes
Play a key role in growing the planning offering and developing client relationships

Candidate Requirements You will be a senior planning specialist ready to step into a leadership role.
You will bring:
Significant experience in planning law (applications, appeals, s.106, planning obligations)
Strong technical skills across both contentious and non contentious planning matters
Confidence supervising junior team membersA commercial, solutions focused approach
The ability to build strong relationships with landowners, developers and rural clients
Interest in helping grow and shape a specialist planning practice
Partner or Legal Director level candidates are encouraged to apply.
