I'm working with an exciting organisation operating within the energy and infrastructure sector to recruit a Property Legal Counsel.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded property lawyer looking to take on a broad, business-facing role within a forward-thinking organisation. Whether you're seeking a permanent position or are interested in a fixed-term contract opportunity, the business is open to considering the right individual.
Working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation, you'll advise on a diverse range of property and development matters, supporting major projects that play a critical role in the organisation's continued growth.
This role offers the opportunity to move beyond purely transactional work, giving you direct exposure to commercial decision-making, strategic projects, and senior stakeholders across the business.
The Role
You'll provide legal support across a varied portfolio of property and land matters, including:
- Supporting the acquisition, development, management, and disposal of property and land assets.
- Negotiating and advising on a range of development, land, and property-related agreements.
- Managing title due diligence, identifying risks, and providing practical solutions.
- Preparing and reviewing Certificates of Title to support financing and investment activity.
- Handling Land Registry matters, registrations, and title enquiries.
- Advising on restrictive covenants, easements, overage arrangements, rights of light, and other property-related risks.
- Supporting large-scale, multi-site development projects across the UK.
- Working closely with development, commercial, and operational teams to support business objectives.
- Assisting with the property elements of corporate transactions, refinancing exercises, and asset disposals.
- Managing relationships with external legal advisers where required.
About You
We're keen to hear from candidates who:
- Are qualified Solicitors in England & Wales.
- Have experience advising on commercial property, real estate, development, or land matters.
- Have gained experience either in private practice or in-house.
- Enjoy working closely with stakeholders and becoming a trusted business partner.
- Take a pragmatic, commercially focused approach to legal advice.
- Are comfortable managing a varied workload in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Experience with in energy, infrastructure, development, utilities, or related sectors would be beneficial but is not essential.
