ASAP A new opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor If you're an experienced Family Solicitor looking for a role where you can take ownership of your work, build strong client relationships and continue developing your career, this could be worth exploring. We're partnered with an established regional law firm that is continuing to grow its Family offering across the South West and is looking to appoint an experienced solicitor to join the team.

The role can be based from Stroud, Dursley or Cirencester, with hybrid working available. What will you be doing? You'll join an established Family team and manage a varied caseload, supporting clients across a range of family matters. There is an opportunity to work within Public Law and Care Proceedings, and candidates with this background are particularly encouraged to apply.

However, the firm is also open to Family Solicitors from other areas who are interested in broadening their experience and developing their public law knowledge. You'll be responsible for:
Managing your own caseload and taking matters from initial instruction through to resolution. Advising clients clearly and sensitively on their legal options. Preparing applications, statements, position statements and other legal documentation. Attending and conducting hearings where appropriate. Working alongside counsel, CAFCASS, local authorities and other professionals. Managing deadlines, budgets and case progression effectively. Maintaining high standards of client care and file management.

Supporting the wider team and contributing to the development of the Family practice. Identifying opportunities to develop professional relationships and contribute to business development. What are we looking for? You'll ideally have: 2 years' PQE within Family Law. Experience managing your own caseload. Strong knowledge of Family Law and excellent client care skills. Good advocacy and drafting experience.

Experience of Legal Aid, particularly Care work, would be advantageous. Previous supervision experience would be useful, although not essential. A commercial and proactive approach to your work. Excellent organisation and communication skills. A Children Panel accreditation would be advantageous but isn't essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is committed to Family Law, enjoys working closely with clients and wants to become part of a growing and supportive team.
