Location: Gloucester Delivery Office, GL2 4BB

Job type: Permanent contract

Hours: 32:30 hours per week, 5 days across Monday - Sunday, 14:00 - 20:00 and 11:30 - 18:00

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

Responsibilities

As a Parcel Delivery Driver you will:

  • Prepare your van and workload for the day, using route‑planning technology to ensure timely delivery of each parcel.
  • Securely deliver all items on your route, including election materials and items such as food products or alcohol in line with Royal Mail business standards.
  • Interact with customers as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail, providing excellent customer service.
  • Work flexible afternoon and early evening shifts, and be willing to work Saturdays and Sundays as required.
A Bit About You
  • Upbeat, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
  • Organised, punctual and proactive with a strong initiative.
  • Committed to delivering great customer service.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers.
  • Enjoy a multi‑drop driving role delivering parcels across the week.
  • Possess a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

  • A guaranteed hourly rate of £13.68p/h, paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours.

Please note:

For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35‑37 hours per week are listed as full‑time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part‑time in the employment contract.
