Plant Equipment Technician / Gloucester

Salary:
Starting salary up to £42,000 per annum, pending experience, plus a performance‑related bonus providing a £50,000 on‑target earnings.

Hours:

40‑hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm. Benefits:

• Perform major and minor repairs to plant machinery.
• Carry out PDI works and attachment set‑up on plant machinery.
• Mobile repair and maintenance of plant machinery.
• Perform regular inspections and general preventive maintenance services according to machine hours and schedules.
• Maintain inventory in the service vehicle and ensure cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
• Work with other departments, including the sales team, to ensure a quality and reliable service level is provided to customers.
• Work with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for machines/vehicles.
• Maintain records of machines/vehicles that have been repaired or handled.
• Complete relevant documentation and paperwork as required and provide warranty claims according to manufacturer requirements or escalating them to higher management.
• Provide in‑house training to recruits and trainees as required.
• Carry out the role with quality, compliance and health and safety always at the forefront of what you do.

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in either Plant Equipment or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Ideally hold 1 to 2 years of practical experience post qualification.
• Committed individual and a good team player.
• Able to produce high‑quality work in a busy workshop environment and motivated to work towards targets set for the team.
• Current, full UK driving licence for the relevant vehicle and machinery classes.
