As a Weapons Technician, you will join a highly skilled engineering team supporting critical defence equipment used by military and civil customers. You will play a hands‑on role in maintaining and enhancing vehicles and armament systems that are essential to national security and operational readiness.

This is a full‑time role, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.00 am to 3.30 pm and Friday 7.00 am – 12.00 pm based at Ashchurch with overtime available.

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, repair and modification of defence vehicles and armament systems
• Diagnosing faults across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and completing effective repairs
• Conducting inspections and equipment examinations to meet production and safety requirements
• Working collaboratively with team members to deliver high‑quality engineering outcomes
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with technical standards and safety procedures

• Previous experience in a similar mechanical, armourer or technician role
• Strong hands‑on skills in maintenance and fault diagnosis
• Experience in military environments or automotive/mechanical workshops (advantageous)
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong working relationships
• Meet requirements for a Security Check clearance

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
