MOT Technician

Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple centres nationwide, for an experienced MOT Technician to join their team in Gloucester.

• Starting salary up to £36,000-£38,000, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
• Performance-related bonus exceeding £3,600 annually.

• Standard 42.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:30am-4:00pm.

• Conduct MOT tests on customer vehicles following Ministry standards.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues efficiently.
• Assist with general servicing and repair tasks as required.
• Provide high-quality work within specified time frames as an MOT Technician.
• Support front reception with customer enquiries when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to safety and compliance protocols.

• Proven experience as an MOT Technician.
• MOT licence valid and held for at least 6 months.
• UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Reside within reasonable commuting distance of Gloucester.
• Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship background.
