Mobile Plant Engineer

We are representing a reputable plant fleet management company operating since 1987 with nationwide coverage, in their search for a Mobile Plant Engineer to serve Gloucestershire and the surrounding region. The Mobile Plant Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a diverse fleet of plant equipment, including dumpers, diggers, telehandlers, trailers, pallet trucks, and pumps.

Duties:

Service, inspect, repair, and refurbish plant equipment and attachments
Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues
Respond to breakdowns promptly and perform preventative maintenance
Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety procedures
Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and quality standards
Maintain accurate service records and reports
Support the delivery of exceptional service standards to clients

Requirements:

Certified CAP Qualification for Powered Access Equipment
IPAF Demonstrator Certifications for Categories 1B, 3A, and 3B
Strong knowledge of powered access equipment and mobile plant machinery

Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
Knowledge of LOLER regulations (training can be provided if necessary)
Proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills
Own basic toolset—specialist tools will be supplied
