Repairs Supervisor

Repairs Supervisor – Gloucester – £38,458 per annum – Permanent | Full Time | 40 hours per week

We're recruiting a Repairs Supervisor on behalf of a reptuable housing association to manage and motivate a team of trades ensuring responsive repairs are delivered to high standards of quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

You'll play a hands-on leadership role, combining people management with technical expertise and customer focus.

• Leading and supervising a team of Repairs Engineers
• Carrying out property inspections and diagnosing complex repairs and hazards
• Managing diaries, scheduling works and taking ownership of challenging repair cases
• Ensuring all works comply with Health & Safety requirements, policies and procedures
• Delivering toolbox talks and driving a strong safety culture
• Working collaboratively with other supervisors to improve service delivery and share best practice
• Conducting regular 1:1s, van audits and materials checks
• Coaching, supporting and developing engineers to maximise performance and productivity

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade (e.g. Plumbing, Electrical Installation)
• Recognised Supervisory or Management qualification, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience within the repairs or property maintenance sector
• Strong all-round knowledge of building maintenance and construction
• Experience leading and developing small teams in a similar environment
• Practical knowledge of responsive repairs and repair diagnostics
• Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation
• Working knowledge of the social housing sector, including HHSRS and property-related risks
