Overview
We're looking for a driven, proactive individual with a "can-do" approach-someone who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and delivering meaningful outcomes. You will bring:
- Strong project management skills and experience
- Excellent interpersonal and partnership-building abilities
- Confidence working within complex local government governance structures
- The ability to navigate political environments with professionalism and tact
- A passion for supporting place-shaping and sustainable development
In this role, you ll work across all seven Gloucestershire authorities, leading the development of key project management products—from highlight reports and project plans to risk and issue registers. Your work will be essential in monitoring progress and ensuring successful delivery of Gloucestershire s Local and Strategic Plans. Success will rely on thinking creatively, building trust, and fostering a shared approach to spatial planning.
You ll help deliver a robust suite of statutory development plans that meet Government timelines, unlock growth opportunities, and support a sustainable future for the county. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your project management expertise across multiple organisations, gaining insight into complex land-use planning processes and strengthening your professional network.
We want to be an employer of choice, attracting and retaining excellent people to work for us, so that we can best serve all of Gloucestershire s diverse communities. Our promise to you is that we will provide an inclusive and supportive working environment that enables you to bring your whole self to work and realise your full potential. It is a legal requirement, under the Immigration Act 2016, that anyone appointed to a customer facing role must be able to demonstrate an ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in fluent English.
Hybrid working arrangements are available for the majority of our roles, giving teams the opportunity to work in a way that suits them, balancing service need and individual choice, with a mix of both remote and office working.
