The Executive Support Team is looking for a dynamic individual to provide comprehensive and personal support to an Executive Director at Gloucestershire County Council.

By joining our Executive Support Team, you'll be joining a team of supportive, knowledgeable and passionate individuals who all work together for the same desired outcome.

As a Director's PA at Gloucestershire County Council, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive support to an Executive Director and their teams. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and handling correspondence. Your keen attention to detail and organisational skills will ensure that all administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Your ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands will be essential in meeting deadlines and addressing urgent requests effectively. Moreover, your role will require you to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost care and integrity. As part of the Executive Support team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the overall success of Gloucestershire County Council.

About You

Successful candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills; be highly organised and efficient, as well as being diplomatic; able to deal with sensitive and confidential matters with the utmost trust. Communicating effectively, proactively managing a diverse and varied workload, you will need to meet tight internal and external deadlines, whilst juggling priorities, in a flexible and adaptable way.

You will be responsible for over-seeing and co-ordinating (across the council’s services) all issues involving the Executive Director in order to provide comprehensive, proactive, integrated support to efficiently manage the Director's expectations and requirements. You will be expected to act on the Director's behalf (both on request and proactively) to support them in carrying out their strategic and managerial responsibilities.
