Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Location: Gloucester

The OpportunityWe are recruiting for an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee depot and traffic management operations in Gloucester. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high safety standards, and supporting the smooth delivery of works across multiple sites.
This position would suit a proactive and organised individual with strong supervisory experience within traffic management, who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
Responsibilities- Support the Depot Manager in the day-to-day running of depot and traffic management operations
- Assist with short- and long-term planning to ensure all sites are installed and maintained to required standards
- Deputise for the Depot Manager during periods of absence
- Conduct regular site visits, audits, and depot inspections to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company standards, and customer KPIs
- Lead, brief, and support operatives, ensuring full adherence to RAMS, SOPs, PPE requirements, and safe systems of work
- Promote and embed a strong Health & Safety culture across all operations
- Oversee vehicle and equipment checks, ensuring defects are reported and resolved promptly
- Manage customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution
- Monitor labour, plant, and depot performance to drive operational efficiency
- Ensure accurate completion of all paperwork, digital records, and performance reporting
- Participate in an out-of-hours rota to maintain 24/7 operational coverage
- Support incident and near-miss reporting and investigations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and complete ongoing CPD and required training
- Proven leadership experience within traffic management

- Minimum 1 year's experience in a supervisory role within traffic management
- Experience across all aspects of 12D traffic management
- CSCS Card
- Lantra 12D M1, M2, M3, M5 & M6
- Full UK Driving Licence
