Position: Operations Manager – Supported Living
Operations Manager – Supported Living, Gloucestershire & West Midlands

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee supported living services for adults, young people, and the development of new children’s homes in the South West England region.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader with a passion for high-quality care and organisational growth, to make a significant impact in the residential care and education sector.

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading operational delivery across multiple services, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as CQC and Ofsted.

Your role will involve guiding teams, developing managers, and supporting service improvement initiatives. This position requires a balance of hands-on leadership and strategic vision to support the organisation’s expansion and uphold its values of relational practice, transparency, and high standards.

Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations to ensure stability and consistency in care delivery, embedding high-quality relational and person-centred approaches, and preparing services for inspection to secure “Good” or better ratings. You will lead the growth of new services, including supporting the setup and stabilisation of children’s homes, and contribute to the organisation’s long-term plans for expansion and service excellence.

The ideal candidate will have senior operational experience within adults, young people, or children’s services, with a strong knowledge of regulatory standards such as CQC and Ofsted. You should be confident in managing crisis situations in a calm manner, possess effective leadership skills, and have a proven track record of influencing organisational culture and improving quality metrics. Experience supporting and developing managers is essential, as is a values-led approach rooted in fairness, consistency, and emotional intelligence.

A Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent and a UK driving licence are required.

You will thrive in this role if you enjoy shaping systems and organisational culture from the ground up, value autonomy, and prefer a fast-paced environment where decisions are made swiftly and confidently. This is a long-term development opportunity, with the chance to grow into a senior leadership position over time.

This role is based in Gloucestershire & West Midlands, offering a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum, with performance-linked progression and bonuses, including additional rewards for opening new children’s homes and achieving outstanding inspection results.

Why this role matters

Joining at a pivotal stage of growth, you will help establish a positive and sustainable organisational culture, supporting your teams and the people they serve across multiple supported living services and new children’s homes. Your leadership will directly influence service quality, team development, and the organisation’s future success.
