Assistant Centre Manager – Gloucester

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a prominent UK tyre retailer.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary between £34,000 and £36,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Performance‑related bonus scheme averaging approximately £3,600 annually
  • Overtime opportunities paid at standard rates – 42.5 hours per week over a guaranteed 5‑day working pattern
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, with one in two Saturdays, 8:00am–4:00pm (day off in the week when working Saturdays)

Duties of an Assistant Centre Manager
  • Support the Centre Manager in the daily operations of the depot
  • Lead and motivate a team of workshop staff, supporting mechanically as required
  • Assist in maintaining key performance indicators to meet centre targets
  • Oversee stock management to ensure optimal levels and accuracy
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring compliance with company policies as an Assistant Centre Manager
  • Support workshop activities with technical mechanic support when necessary
  • Assist in controlling costs and maximising sales performance

    Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards
Requirements of an Assistant Centre Manager
  • Proven supervisory experience within the automotive or retail sector
  • Technical vehicle knowledge and mechanical aptitude
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with ability to develop and maintain a positive team culture
  • Strong customer focus and ability to deliver high standards of service
  • Experience in sales maximisation, cost control, and ensuring compliance with standards
  • Ability to support workshop team as required, with technical understanding
