Our client, a well-established multi-franchise-approved car dealer group operating since 1994, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Service Manager to join their dealership in Gloucester.

Duties of the Service Manager:

Lead and motivate a team of 4 Vehicle Technicians, 2 Service Advisors, and 2 Apprentices to deliver high-quality customer service
Oversee daily service operations, maximising workshop activity and labour sales
Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and compliance with company policies
Support operational efficiency through effective resource management
Maintain strong communication with the Group Service Director
Manage workshop workflow, resource allocation, and technical compliance
Support staff development through coaching and training initiatives
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery

Requirements of the Service Manager:

Proven experience as a Service or Aftersales Manager within a franchise-approved car dealership
Supervisory or assistant management experience within a franchise dealership considered
Strong leadership and team management skills
IT literate with proficiency in relevant dealership management systems
UK driving licence with minimal points
Located within reasonable commuting distance of Gloucester
Ability to maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency
