· Provide visible, accessible and supportive day-to-day leadership of the Development Management team.

· Hold effective one-to-ones, caseload reviews and performance discussions.

· Support individual officers to manage workloads, priorities and application timescales effectively.

· Maintain oversight of team capacity, workloads, performance pressures and operational risks, escalating issues where necessary.

· Provide professional guidance and act as an escalation point for complex, sensitive or high-risk planning cases.

· Provide additional leadership capacity to the Head of Planning Services, including assistance with staffing, performance and operational matters.
 
Role Specific

· Hybrid

· 37 hours per week   

· Hourly rate - approx. £65 per hour

· Local Authority experience.
 
Carrington West Pay Rate - up to £65ph
