Reporting to the Operations Manager the Production Operative will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service, exceeding customer expectations, and contributing to the Company’s continued growth and reputation as a market leader.
You will support the Operations Manager in ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled quickly and efficiently, enquiries are responded to promptly and concerns resolved efficiently. You will escalate any complex issues to the Operations Manager.
Within the Production facility you will take pride in your work ensuring paints are mixed correctly and customers receive the correct order and outstanding service that Elmbridge pride ourselves on delivering.
Key Responsibilities Product and Technical Knowledge- Provide accurate information about Elmbridge products and guide customers in making informed decisions. Prior experience in the industry is desirable but not essential as full product training will be provided.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our products, services and policies to address customer concerns effectively with empathy and professionalism.
- Mix paints for joinery and industrial coatings and stains, ensuring all formulations of preparation and colour matching are to the highest standard and meet customer requirements.
- Ensure colour recipes, libraries and samples are updated and maintained.
- Ensure stock control of colourants and special pigments is completed
- Maintain a clean and tidy mixing and laboratory area including tools, equipment, and machinery in line with the 5S principles.
Safely transport finished products to customers ensuring they arrive on time and undamaged.
Key Requirements- Previous experience in spraying or handling coatings
- Attention to detail in order to colour match the paints correctly
- Confident in using Computers and answering customer calls
- The ability to work alone when needed
- The ability to maintain high quality standards in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a manufacturing business using 5S principles is advantageous but not essential
You will be required to work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday on site at our facility in Cumbernauld.
- 23 days holiday per year plus Bank & Public Holidays
