Assembly Fitter
Gloucester
Shifts:
Rotating
As an Assembly Fitter, you'll play a critical role in our MRO operations, assembling and testing single aisle family landing gears. You'll work as part of a diverse team to complete the required quantity of shipsets per week to meet our customer's expectations.
Key responsibilities:
Assemble and test nose and forestay, main gears and sidestays for aerospace landing gear
Ensuring quality of assembly for all gears within your area
Continuous improvement on improving the quality and efficiency of both the assembly and test of the unit
Deliver a product in line with quality, cost, and delivery
What you'll need:
Advanced level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship within an Engineering, Manufacturing or Technical discipline
Knowledge of working with and assembling complex builds
Experience in reading component maintenance manuals, drawings, engineering layouts and additions to the original design such as Service Bulletins & Letters, and Airworthines
Ability to build and test complex sub-assemblies
Ability to use a wide range of precision measuring & test equipment
Responsibility and confidence to sign and stamp off own work (after training)
