From £13.00 per hour (Standard) | £19.50 per hour (Overtime)

The Role

A leading manufacturing company based in Gloucestershire is seeking a reliable Stores Person / Warehouse Operative. This is an initial 6-month contract with an excellent opportunity to progress into a permanent position for the right candidate.

You will manage physical inventory, handle goods inward/outward, and maintain the company's digital stock records. [1]

Key Responsibilities

* Inventory Control:
Log, track, and audit materials using the company’s internal stock management software.

* Goods Inward & Outward:
Receive deliveries, verify paperwork, unpack components, and prepare products for dispatch.

* Kitting:
Pick and organize parts required for the manufacturing assembly lines.

* Local Deliveries:
Drive the company vehicle to make occasional local deliveries and collections.

* Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. [1, 2]

What We Are Looking For

* Experience:

Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, stock control, or logistics environment.

* IT Literacy:
Confident computer skills to navigate digital stock and database systems.

* Licences: A valid UK driving licence and your own transport to commute to the site reliably.

* Forklift Licence: A current forklift licence is highly desirable, though not essential.

* Attributes:
Strong attention to detail, physical fitness for lifting, and a proactive attitude. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
