Blade Operator

Job Description Summary

Blade Operator at our Dowty Propellers Brockworth site. This role involves the execution of manual processes on a rotating shift pattern in a production environment.

• Blade composite processes including composite layup, preform & foam, blade build, resin injection and deflash.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Identifying and holding responsibility for quality & environment, health & safety issues.
• Repairing.
• Ability to work night shift.

• Demonstrate ability to work as an effective team player, taking ownership and accountability for quality and EHS standards.
• Adopt a flexible approach to gaining new skills and working across cells within the Dowty Brockworth site.
• Demonstrate personal drive and motivation to identify and implement process improvements.
• Demonstrate experience of working in a flow line production environment and be familiar with materials processing.
• Demonstrate good manual dexterity.

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. If BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, the role may not be available and offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
