Working a rotating day and night shift pattern

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift Production Manager to join a well established manufacturing business in Gloucester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious leader with experience in a fast-paced production environment to join a business investing heavily in its operations and future growth. You'll be responsible for leading a production team, driving operational performance, and ensuring safety, quality and productivity targets are achieved.

Role & Responsibilities:

Manage and lead production teams across shift operations
Drive performance against production, quality and safety KPIs
Ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met
Lead, motivate and develop team leaders and operators
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor labour utilisation, efficiency and operational costs
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company procedures
Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to optimise performance
Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions

Knowledge,

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience as a Production Manager, Shift Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager
Strong leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
Proven ability to manage KPIs and drive performance improvements
Strong communication and people management skills
Health & Safety focused approach

Experience with in FMCG, Food, Packaging, Automotive, Chemical or General Manufacturing environments would be advantageous
