Job Description Summary As an Advance Machine Operator & Setter within the aerospace industry, you will be responsible for carrying repairs/tasks to a variety of parts on CNC equipment ensuring parts adhere to the specification laid out within the business procedures, manuals & drawings. The role will also encourage using and implementing lean principles to help streamline the process where possible.
Job Role- Calibrates machines to their proper operating levels.
- Performing proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories
- Setting tolerance levels and cutting speeds
- Translates the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production.
- Inspecting work to ensure that technical and quality standards are met
- Working alongside Manufacturing Engineers to complete Part
21 & Part 145. - Ensuring traceability and compliance is maintained throughout the process.
- Supporting engineering/quality investigations and project work as and when required.
- The candidate will need to have the ability and experience of working on mechanical and hydraulic components.
- They will need to demonstrate that they are able to utilise detailed manuals, drawings & other documentation to aid this requirement.
- Minimum of HNC Mechanical engineering or time served apprentice or similar level of the knowledge and experience.
- Must be PC literate and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
