Trident Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller – Programmer, Setter & Operator to join a well-established subcontract precision engineering company based in Gloucester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Miller who is confident taking components from engineering drawing through to finished part, working across both 3-Axis and 5-Axis CNC milling machines.
The Role- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Working across 3-Axis and 5-Axis machining
- Programming using Fanuc, Heidenhain and/or Mazatrol controls
- Producing one-off and small-batch precision components
- Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
- Selecting tooling, speeds and feeds
- Carrying out in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment
- Working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Supporting continuous improvement and reducing machining cycle times
- Strong CNC milling experience
- Programming, setting and operating capability
- Experience with 3-Axis and/or 5-Axis CNC machinery
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Heidenhain or Mazatrol
- Experience with in a subcontract precision engineering environment
- Ability to work independently from engineering drawings
- Good understanding of tooling, work holding and machining processes
- Up to £25.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Day shift
- Overtime opportunities
