We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC 5-Axis Machinist / Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Gloucester.
Key Responsibilities- Set and operate Mazak VARIAXIS J500 and J600 machining centres
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Perform tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments
- Produce components to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Conduct first-off and in-process inspections
- Ensure machines are running efficiently and minimise downtime
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment
- Work collaboratively with production, quality and engineering teams
- Proven experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC machining centres
- Experience with Mazak machinery and Mazatrol controls preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of precision machining techniques and tooling
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
