Tourism & Digital Marketing Officer, Visit

Visit Gloucester – Gloucester City Council are seeking a Tourism & Destination Digital Marketing Officer to join their team. The role will help position the city of Gloucester as a world class visitor destination by maximising the effectiveness of the Visit Gloucester digital offerings, including its websites, social media channels, email marketing, digital advertising, imagery and video content.

The role will help deliver the tourism marketing strategy, supporting destination partners and businesses by curating content and presenting it in an engaging, timely and compelling way, consistent with the brand narrative of the city.

The Tourism & Destination Digital Marketing Officer will help craft and implement online, mobile and digital marketing strategies for the Visit Gloucester website and social media channels, have a thorough understanding of SEO and experience using a CMS, and be able to create exemplary engaging copy for a range of audiences.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering successful digital marketing activity with a clear understanding of how to develop and improve on existing digital marketing channels.

The role is part of the Tourism and Destination Marketing team which sits within Gloucester City Council’s Culture Team. Currently the team are working partly remotely and will be for the foreseeable future, however the successful candidate should be available to attend meetings with partners in the city.
