Freelance Family Festival & Trail Coordinator
September - November 2026 | £4,000 Freelance Contract | Approx. 18 hours per week
We're looking for a creative and organised freelancer to lead the delivery of the Gloucestershire Family Festival 2026.
Working across priority communities in Gloucestershire, you'll create and coordinate fun family trails that encourage children and families to explore reading, storytelling, local heritage and creativity. A key focus of the project is engaging families who do not currently use library services.
What You'll Do- Plan and deliver family trails across the county.
- Coordinate delivery during October Half Term (26-30 October 2026).
- Collect feedback and help measure the project's impact.
- Experience in community engagement, events or project coordination.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience working with families and community organisations.
- A creative approach and passion for family learning.
- An understanding of inclusive practice.
- A full driving licence. (the set fee includes travel cost)
- More families engaged in festival activities.
- Increased participation from non-library users.
- Stronger community partnerships.
- Greater awareness of local library services.
