What you will be doing
With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you will oversee and provide high-quality care and support to people in a Neurologicalsetting, while supporting your team and colleagues and promote good teamwork.
As a Senior Sister, you'll lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care and delivering of clinical services, ensuring the day-to-day operations of your unit is performing well. You'll also;
- Delegate nursing tasks to Nurses working in the unit and coordinate with other teams
- Monitor service users' conditions and respond to changes
- Supervise other members within the team's unit and provide guidance and support
- Make critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocation
- Be liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, with effective communication and collaboration

- A relevant nursing qualification
- NMC registration
- A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
- A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
- Relevant experience in a similar environment

The Dean Neurological Centre has 60 beds in Gloucester (GL2 9EE
), which is on the outskirts of the town within easy commute from Gloucester, Cheltenham with good transport links.
The Centre delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability.
It specialises in slow stream rehabilitation where the emphasis is placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life.
Bedrooms are fitted with high dependency equipment, including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction and oxygen equipment., with all rooms adapted to individual requirements. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities and other facilities such as gardens, gym and minibus.
