The Critical Care Nursing Associate will be responsible for monitoring and contributing to the care of critically ill patients under the indirect supervision of registered nurses. With training and support, you will provide both general and specialised direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. You will play a vital role in monitoring and managing patients with life-threatening conditions.

Your main duties will include:

- - Providing high-quality nursing care to patients admitted to critical care and offering support to their loved ones, ensuring safe and effective practice
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to provide continuous care to a specific group of patients from admission to discharge
- Supervising and mentoring other staff members and learners as appropriate
- Maintaining and developing your personal skills with ongoing support Additional working pattern details:
Working internally across site, including days, nights and weekends

  • Post registration experience in an acute care setting within medicine, surgery or equivalent
  • Experience of managing acutely ill patients in a ward setting, Able to prioritise own workload and that of others as appropriate
  • Excellent presentational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
  • Demonstrates knowledge of when to seek advice and elevate to the appropriate professional for support and advice
  • Able to identify limitations of own competency and undertake Continuous Professional Development to maintain competencies and skills including all mandatory training.
