Our client produces, innovates and develops high-quality salmon and fish products for major retailers, food service operators, wholesalers and export markets across the UK and beyond.
They combine traditional craftsmanship with modern food manufacturing and are investing significantly in their people, systems and facilities as part of their ambitious growth plans.
They are now looking for experienced Quality Assurance Supervisors to join their Technical teams in Gloucester and Bellshill, Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants more than a routine QA role.
You will have the chance to influence site standards, develop people, improve systems and play a key role in protecting the safety, quality and reputation of their products.
The RoleReporting to the Technical Manager, you will lead the day-to-day Quality Assurance function and work closely with Production, Hygiene, Engineering and Technical teams.
Your responsibilities will include:- Leading and supporting the site QA team.
- Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System.
- Supporting BRCGS, HACCP, customer and legal compliance.
- Conducting audits, inspections, traceability exercises and quality checks.
- Managing environmental monitoring and microbiological sampling.
- Investigating complaints, non-conformances and out-of-specification results.
- Overseeing product hold, quarantine and release procedures.
- Driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Promoting a strong and positive food safety culture across the site.
- QA or technical experience within food manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, GMP, allergens and traceability.
- Experience with internal audits and root cause investigations.
- The confidence to challenge standards and influence positive change.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A recognised Food Safety or HACCP qualification.
- Experience with in seafood or chilled food manufacturing would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
