Your Recruitment Coach is recruiting for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join a growing advanced manufacturing business.
This is a hands-on quality role with a strong focus on CMM programming and inspection, working across both composite and metallic components. You’ll be responsible for ensuring products meet the required quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, from incoming materials through to final inspection.
The Role
As Quality Control Inspector, you will:
* Programme and operate CMM equipment to carry out dimensional inspection. (PC-DMIS)
* Inspect composite and metallic components against drawings and specifications.
* Perform visual and dimensional inspection of incoming materials, in-process components and finished products.
* Use inspection equipment including callipers, micrometres and CMMs.
* Produce FAIR packs and supporting documentation for customer certification.
* Support the MRB process and investigation of non-conforming products.
* Complete Gauge R&R reporting.
* Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
* Work closely with Production and Engineering to identify and resolve quality issues.
* Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing and inspection processes.
* Ensure work is completed in line with relevant quality standards, including ISO 9001 and AS9100.
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone with 2–3+ years' experience within Quality Inspection or Quality Control in a manufacturing environment.
You should ideally have:
* Strong CMM programming and operating experience.
* Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Good dimensional inspection knowledge.
* Experience using CAD models to extract inspection data.
* Knowledge of inspection equipment including callipers, micrometres and CMMs.
* Experience working within a precision, aerospace or advanced manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes would be highly advantageous.
* An NVQ Level 3 in Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent practical industry experience.
* PC-DMIS experience is essential
