Our Tesco Colleague rates start at £12.45 an hour, increasing to £13.66 inside the M25. For all hours worked between midnight and 6am you receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour.
We prefer to offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, but you can choose to work as few as 12 hours.
Availability windows:
- Sun: 22:00 – 08:00
- Thu: 22:00 – 08:00
- Fri: 22:00 – 08:00
- Sat: 22:00 – 08:00
We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and give you a three‑week notice of your shifts. We are happy to support flexibility when your availability aligns closely with these windows.

Responsibilities- Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services in store.
- Work across the store in service, picking, and replenishment areas where required.
- Apply training to work safely, effectively, and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver routines that meet needs at the right time.
- Take part in seasonal, community, and charity events to create a great inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand store performance and help drive service, sales, waste and shrink reduction, and profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure customers receive them in best condition.
- Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and always follow policies.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.
- Passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile, and serving them with pride.
- Ability to build rapport with customers so they leave with a great shopping experience.
- Take the initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers.
- Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.
- Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, have fun, and celebrate success.
- Be on time, well presented, and ready to be a brand ambassador.
