We're recruiting for a sales consultant to join a growing and ambitious business based in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment and enjoys speaking with customers, developing new business opportunities and delivering outstanding service. This role will suit a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and engaging with businesses.

- Engaging with new and existing customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Identifying and generating new business opportunities
- Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable solutions
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Delivering a positive customer experience throughout the sales process
- Researching prospective clients and market opportunities
- Following up enquiries and developing sales opportunities
- Working towards individual and team sales targets
- Maintaining accurate customer and opportunity records within CRM systems
- Collaborating closely with colleagues to support wider business objectives
- Previous experience in sales, account management or a target-driven commercial environment
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities
- Experience maintaining accurate records using CRM systems
- Self‑motivated, ambitious and driven to achieve results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing to a wider team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Preferable experience within the energy, utilities, sustainability or renewable energy sectors
- Previous B2B sales experience
- Experience in business development, lead generation or appointment setting
- Experience using Linked In and other digital platforms to identify and engage prospective clients
- Experience selling service-based solutions rather than physical products
- Experience working within a KPI or target-driven environment
- Knowledge of business energy procurement, utility management or commercial cost‑saving solutions would be advantageous but is not essential
- Competitive basic salary
