Sales Assistant

As a Sales Assistant based in Gloucester, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the branch’s sales and warehouse operations.

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking and packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries, which will involve manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.
• Supporting delivery drops as required.
• Full UK driving licence required – covering deliveries while the driver is on annual leave.

• Previous face‑to‑face customer service or sales experience is essential.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and take on a diverse role.
• Proactive, eager to learn, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

This is a full‑time permanent role of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 07:30am to 5:00pm, and occasional Saturday from 08:00am to 12:00pm.

£26,695 salary plus:
