Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Gloucester. The Salesperson will welcome and engage customers in the showroom, understand their needs, and guide them through the vehicle selection and purchasing process. Daily responsibilities include presenting vehicle features and benefits, conducting test drives, preparing quotes, and supporting finance and insurance discussions in collaboration with relevant teams. The role involves managing leads from online, in-store, and phone inquiries, maintaining accurate records in the sales system, and following up with prospects to convert interest into sales.
The Salesperson will also help ensure the showroom is presentable, support promotional activities, and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture focused on customer satisfaction and ethical sales practices.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, listen actively, and communicate clearly with diverse customers.
- Sales and negotiation skills, including experience working to targets, handling objections, and closing sales in a consultative and ethical manner.
- Basic digital literacy and comfort using CRM or sales systems, email, and online tools to manage leads, appointments, and sales documentation.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple customers, follow up on leads, and maintain accurate records.
- Knowledge of or interest in the automotive sector, including vehicle features, financing options, and the car buying process (training provided as needed).
- Ability to work on-site in Gloucester, including weekends or peak hours, as part of a collaborative, results-oriented team.
- Previous experience in retail, automotive, or customer-facing sales is beneficial but not strictly required.
- Relevant education or training in sales, business, or a related field is an advantage; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
