We are seeking a professional and dedicated Security Guard to join a team of security guards within a hospital setting. This is a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors, while maintaining a calm and reassuring presence across the hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a visible security presence across hospital premises.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
- Carry out safe holding techniques in line with NHS and legal guidelines to protect individuals and staff when necessary.
- Operate within Violence and Aggression (VNA) protocols, ensuring de-escalation and safeguarding at all times.
- Monitor CCTV and access control systems.
- Support clinical teams during high-risk situations.
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain security logs.
- Previous experience in security, preferably in healthcare or similar environments.
- Valid SIA licence.
- Knowledge of safe holding techniques and VNA procedures (training can be provided).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
- Commitment to confidentiality and patient dignity.
This is a temporary ongoing role.
