Multi Trade Operative; Casual

Overview

Temporary Contract, Casual Hours (up to 40 hours per week). Uniform provided. Full Driving Licence required. Must have own vehicle with fuel expenses to be paid.

• Youll repair, maintain and install multiple trade items including roof, structure and fabric of buildings internal & external, service supplies, fixtures & fittings and other products associated with plumbing, carpentry and wet trades to a high standard to GCH customers homes and commercial premises.
• Youll work in accordance with prescribed work schedules, the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) and GCH established standard policy & procedures for delivery of exceptional customer service.
• Liaising with internal and external customers, line manager/supervisor, scheduler and colleagues to ensure progress and action required to rectify any identified defects, concerns or resident vulnerability.
• Complete a high percentage of jobs as first time fix to achieve excellent customer satisfaction.

• Hold a City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or above in an associated trade/craft.
• Experience in applying multi-trade skills to installation, repair and maintenance of fixtures, fittings and fitments.
• Experience of working in a customer-responsive environment.
• Full working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements related to workshop practice and maintenance.
• Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
• Problem-solving with a positive can-do attitude.
• Ability to interpret manufacturers instructions/technical manuals and drawings (desirable).
• IT literacy, comfortable working with electronic devices, PDAs, tablets and computers (desirable).
